And the “Best Comment of the Week” award goes to rose-colored-coolaid for his gem on yesterday’s post:
Anyone else starting to notice that the ‘bubbles are forever’ positions are starting to sound a lot more like Jon Madden? “Boom, you see this house? What it wants to do is appreciate in value. So it’s going to use granite countertops here and here and here [scribbles all over the screen] to keep the bubbleheads off balance. We ran the countertop play in Oakland, and it always either worked or didn’t.”
Hilarious!

new article in the P-I
http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/local/335614_incentives16.html
“I just wanted to fire-sell it,” Nilssen, an agent with TEC Real Estate, in Bellevue, said Thursday. “I’m not living there, so I’ve got two mortgage payments. And I thought about renting it out, but I’m not sure the rental market will support it.”
Methinks the sellers are finally realizing that the summer is over and that hot Ballard condo needs to go!
Yup, the condo in the article is in pink pony Ballard.

But housing construction is slowing down.
“King County Executive Ron Sims proposed three new taxes Monday, even as he warned that a slowdown in housing construction will strain the county’s general fund during the next two years.
Sims said in his annual budget address to the Metropolitan King County Council that he told his staff to “go back to the drawing board” in September after financial advisers warned that a downturn in construction would hit the county hard. The revised budget, which also calls for higher bus fares, trimmed 2008 spending in order to soften an expected 2009 budget shortfall.”

Thanks guys, I really do appreciate it.
I screwed it up though it was meant to be “here and here and here [scribbles all over the screen]“, but used symbols instead of [ and ]. Drat, my old nemesis HTML rears its ugly head again.

Tip: if you want to make > or < symbols, type > and <

Thanks for fixing the post Tim.
I think the confusing part with <> is that they display differently on the preview than on the actual comment. If you type <something> and < something > (notice the spaces), the preview will show them as being different, but in the actual post they will both go missing. Is this easy to fix, or is the preview something you got prepackaged? If it’s part of a package you might put in a bug report on it.
Two weeks till Halloween. As a tribute to Rainy City Guide (RCG), this year I’m bringing my rose-colored-ghoulaid. Delicious!

I have to admit…I enjoy reading RCC’s posts just as much as the blog itself. I think that RCC brings some great topics to the table and definitely thinks outside of the box.
Kudos RCC!
