I suppose this this poll is pretty heavily weighed on what your searing for..

For looking for an active home, I’ve found ZipRealy’s search to be the best..

If I’m looking for Foreclosure data, then Trulia,

If I’m researching a specific house.. then Zillow, Trulia, Redfin…(and either King or Snohomish GIS..)

I did notice that the MLS data isn’t refreshed as often as I’d like (on Zipreality.. updated 1 to 2 times a day?). Back in CA I used a tool that had the MLS data updated about every 15 minutes or so.. anyone know of a tool up here with that kinda of “up to date” info?

Outside the Seattle limits, I’m surprised how often certain homes are missed by one search or another. Trying two or three different companies will often reveal completely different groups of homes for sale. The situation is worse if you search Eastern Washington or Idaho. John L. Scott seems best as one moves around the NW.

    I like cbbain.com actually.

Estately is OK, but the UI is a bit unpredictable at times (it just stops showing properties at a certain point).

I’m surprised no one has mentioned “first exclusive.” Cheesy name notwithstanding, they have an attractive and fast search system.

I love some of the new John L. Scott features like radius search from a given address, as well as the fact that their map search includes sold homes in addition to the active ones.

At Redfin we update our NWMLS listings every 15 minutes.

Thank you Heavy Scissors - We deliberately keep the site fast and simple for all the people who do not have the patience to wait for the newer interactive map based searches to load or don’t like being limited on the number of properties they can show on a page page.
The old adage of processes not loading in 4 seconds switching users off still holds. Users want to get to the photos and house details as quickly and directly as possible. The site is updated every 15 minutes.
The KISS principle is alive and well.

YOU ALL ARE ANOTHER IGNORANT, CRAP SPEWING WEBSITE. I am a Realtor and if you think your lies and deceptive information regarding the use or importance of using a Realtor is at all accurate, you are all truw idiots. You’ve made complete fools of yourselves! SHAME ON YOU!!!

To Leslie: Sorry to inform you but your sisters and brothers in the RE industry are thought of by the average joe like me as SALESPERSONS. The barrier to entry in the RE field hardly exists and SALESPERSONS with licenses to sell you the most expensive asset you will ever buy in a lifetime need to be held more accountable. You know what they say about bad apples……

Oh I could go on and on……but I have a haircut appt.
