There’s a difference between when I would LIKE to buy a house and when I WILL buy a house. I would have bought a house 4 years ago had there been reasonable prices. I would buy a house now if I felt prices were reasonable.
I think most here are in the same boat as me.

Exactly the same situation. If prices made sense, I would buy. Since they don’t, I’ll continue renting and saving thousands a year.

“Happy here” could mean happy in the home I own and I’m not buying another or happy paying rent with no intentions of buying?

I would LIKE to buy a house, but that doesn’t mean I SHOULD buy a house right now…..
You have all done a good job convincing me that it’s a good time to wait on buying our first house. No hurry. However, we are discovering that the rental market is LAME right now for renters (us). Ugh.
