Interesting – when I first saw the poll title, I started thinking about yard size, or kitchen, or things like that. They I saw the options and I did not even hesitate.
What kind of rims are on my “van down by the river”.

What about price? This is certainly not an insignificant factor in choosing a home.

“Don’t be insulted by this low offer.” Very funny article with a buyer supposedly writing a “Dear Seller” letter.

It’s kind of funny, the top vote getters right now are:
Location.
Location.
Location.
Location, Location. Location! It has always been the most compelling factor. The bread basket of America and slums would win out if price was most compelling. I think you are right though. Price has to be a major consideration when determining the “value” of a home.
I think North Seattle is doing “better than most” because many want the combinations of location including, restaurants, public transportation, freeway access, parks, and proximity to downtown and it’s going for the right price. View properties are not as abundant as they are in Queen Anne, Magnolia, or the high-rises of downtown, but the prices and location provide a “best of both worlds” scenario.
What about value or in slang terms”bang for the buck”? Of course location would have to be a factor when considering value.
I figured that price was a given. You can read the question as “what characteristic (other than price)…”
I tend to look for overpasses with dry boxes underneath myself. Maybe a propane grill to cook up the rats I find too!
