Regarding House Hunters HGTV, when they called me my question was “why?” Why would my Buyer Client want to do this? They didn’t have an answer. I guess they assume everyone wants to be on TV. So I asked what does the Buyer Client get? The answer was $500. I didn’t ask my clients if they wanted to do it for $500. If they said $5,000…well, I likely could have found someone for them who was willing to do it.
I don’t know how fake it is, as I didn’t get that far. The house they actually choose to buy isn’t fake. But given they are giving nothing to the sellers of any of the three houses, they likely have to wait until after closing and fake out the two that were not chosen. Why would any seller volunteer to have their home mouth-trashed in public…with no compensation? Faulty premise, I think.
