That's funny, because last night's episode of Too Beautiful to Live they were talking about how newspapers are dying and how most newspapers may die this year in print form.
You and I talked about this a couple of weeks ago Tim, but one of the biggest reasons for the demise of print paper isn't where people get their news so much as it is Craigslist. No one uses newspaper classifieds anymore to sell anything. I know that as a RE agent that print advertising gets you no response on anything anymore.
If you look in the Sunday paper nowadays, in the classifieds almost all you'll see is just pages of windermere, John L Scott and ReMax ads, and car dealerships. The interesting thing about the RE ads is that those aren't there to actually sell the houses. They're there as a marketing tool in order to get new listings.

I concur, Aubrey Cohen is by far the most objective of the local RE reporters. I would argue that he's more objective that you are, Tim. It would be a shame to see him go.
Just don't behead each other, okay.

As mediocre as the P-I has been at times, they have had some great writers over the years. I think it's been good for The Times to have some competition. Despite being an old fart who likes to hold dead tree products in his hand, if the P-I does disappear, I'll miss the NY Times crossword puzzle in the P-I, Art Thiel, Aubrey Cohen, and Zippy the Pinhead in the comics....
Plus, although the Hearst family is not one you may want to cuddle with, the Belthens who own the Times are downright creepy.

The end of the PI would mean the end of the Sea R.E. Professionals blog.
I heart TBTL.
Maybe Aubrey would want to blog at SB.

Hi LHR,
I think it would be more interesting to see how they handle it....and if they decide to form a group blog elsewhere. The only people who post on a regular basis are just a small handful of the total number of bloggers over there.

I bet at least some of them will regroup. I think it'll be interesting to see which ones decide not to stick with the group. There have to be more than a few that are tired of Mack and Larry's moronic ramblings and do not want to be associated with them.
