(or, Why Your House Won't Sell)
I've encountered some really bad listing photos recently that are big detriments to the house from my point of view. Sometimes it's something wrong with the house itself, and sometimes it's just a bad photo. Either way, since I enjoy the Eastside Flops, Audacious Renovations, and Comp Killer threads so much, I thought I'd start one for people to share bad listing photos as well.

I remember the last time that shuffleboard house was on the market. I kind of liked the house...

It's pretty much been on the market for over 3 years, with a few breaks here and there, presumably to get a new MLS#. The rest of the house is pretty decent, but in that 3 years they've dropped the price all of $25k.

Listing agents should really invest in a good camera and classes to learn how to use it. When I was more seriously looking at houses, easily half the pictures were bad and/or pointless.

The stained carpets, the drapes, and the picture outlines... priceless!

I actually visited that house. It has a nice view of Lake Sammamish out of the window in that picture. The original owners lived there until they died. It is now vacant and in need of updating. It has a very 1960's feel to it. It seems like a nice house, although I felt like the downstairs rooms were off kilter -- like maybe the house had shifted over time. But I wasn't sure about that. I might have had a slightly dizzy feeling for some other unknown reason.

http://www.redfin.com/WA/Carnation/3171 ... ome/519678What exactly are they trying to show here? That there's room for storage? The same photo is actually posted twice.
