This is not an officially sanctioned Seattle Bubble event, but some here have expressed a desire to have a meet up in the south end, and I have been requested to organize it, so...
Sunday, March 15th 11AM,
Columbia City Bakery 4865 Rainier Avenue South, Seattle
The company might not be too stimulating, but the coffee is.

Sounds like fun. Unfortunately, I have to teach a Sunday school class for pre-schoolers that day, so I'll have to give it a pass (yes, an atheist like me CAN teach Sunday school without compromising his principles).
I do like the idea of having meet-ups on week-ends though! It is generally much more feasible that week-days for me.

I take it that Sniglet's church is not one of those fire and brimstone fundamentalist churches?
There may be others, but I know the Unitarians welcome and embrace atheists.

I'm definitely in. The baked good at the CC bakery are absolutely divine.
Sniglet, we'll be sorry to miss you. Good on you for teaching Sunday school. I started a Girl Scout troop for the same reason.
What's that joke Garrison Keillor made about the Unitarians? You know UUs have it in for you when you wake up to find a burning question mark on your front lawn...

I went to a Unitarian church for a while in high school. The last time I went we had a new Sunday school teacher who started tellings us how Christianity was wrong and stupid and anyone who believes a man could walk on water or turn water to wine was crazy. I should have defended by beliefs, but it was hard with everyone else in the class nodding in agreement with him. Instead I just quit attending that church.

I would like to stop by as well - the one in Wallingford was great. Unfortunatly, I will be out of town - maybe next time. Seth
