I'm watching the Nova program "Mind Over Money"; it's talking about how people alternate between behavioral and rational financial decision making processes. They touched on the housing bust and why so many people fell for the Too Good To Be True.
I just wanted to thank Seattle Bubble and The Tim (along with other blogs like Calculated Risk, Mish's Global Economic Trend Analysis, and the now defunct HousingPANIC) for being out there speaking the truth even when, at the time, you faced mockery from the bulls.
Sure, it was I who sought you out to confirm a innate hunch that there was wool over our collective eyes, and I'm glad I did. And I'm very glad you were here. You brought the facts, numbers, graphs, and other intelligent participants' commentary to the scene which helped save at least this one measly renter from a gigantic financial Oops. And I've learned a lot when the time does come when I buy my own place.
Anyway, thanks for doing what you do and keep on truckin'.
