I know this was meant as a joke by RCC, but good realtors will actually land on their feet. I use the word 'good' in the sense that they are good at selling real estate. This should not be confused with what realtors sometimes mean when they are referring to 'good' at their job such as providing 'analysis', house staging, or other such nonsense.
The good salesmen can continue to make a good living selling something else: pharmaceuticals, cars, RV's, copy machines, etc. The smart ones will make the jump right now before transactions really drop and there is a flood of their like-minded compatriots looking for work.
