Even though he went off the air in 1981, JP Patches is still a big part of Seattle Culture.
I was at the big statue unveiling in Fremont today with my dad (who grew up watching JP Patches). .

I grew up here and used to watch J.P. I saw him live in Maple VAlley in the late 1980's
I got a videotape of his series at a garage sale a week ago for a dime and watched it. I got ten minutes into it and just could not watch any more. It was just dumb, dumb, DUMB. And not in a Plan 9 sort of way, if you get my drift...
Time is not kind to all vintage movies and TV.
