I was turned on to John T. Reed when my best friend was becoming entrenched in the Rich Dad, Poor Dad cult. I'd never heard of it, so I went a-researchin' and came across Reed's guru review of Robert Kiyosaki. My friend and her husband own three properties, including a duplex and fourplex bought at the peak of the market w/ subprime loans.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Always Google "your guru's name" + "scam" before borrowing more than 9 times your yearly household income.
