I tried to comment but got this error: "Error: Your IP address has been banned. You cannot submit a comment"

Has this happened to anybody else? Have they resorted to banning the IPs of anyone that happens to be smarter than them?

I still think the content of the original post constitutes "promotional content." They all seem to be focusing on the link to the guy's site. I'm more interested in the fact that she cut and paste what was essentially this guy's marketing materials which I think clearly violates the TOS. Obviously, the rules are different depending on what your occupation is, so I'm not going to bother debating the point with them.

Seems to me that they should just turn off comments on all their posts, so the "blog" can just become what most (but not all) of the contributors seem to want it to be: an advertisement for their professional services.

Most of the folks over there would probably feel more at ease if their sales pitch were able to get out to the public without all us nasty detractors waving all these facts and data all over the place.

Closing comments and/or deleting/rewriting entire posts seems to happen with some semi-regularity both on SREP and RCG (though not very recently at RCG).

Note that this has never happened at Seattle Bubble.
