That's crazy rent. I can't believe that's anywhere near typical. The Phantom Lake area is very nice, but very pricey.

From the little time I've spent on CL lately I wouldn't say rents are crashing in the areas I look at (Woodridge, College Hill, Spiritridge, Phantom Lake, Robinswood). We had some friends that had to move from the Spiritridge area and they couldn't find a nearby rental that was as good of a deal as they previously had. They ended up way over near Microsoft.

Remember, if you rent it's not a home, it's a hovel.
