Those are all good posts, but I agree with uwp, that there is certainly still more to explore on this topic. Most of the posts on the blog have been pointing out the similarities between our decline and other declines that have proceeded 1-2 years ahead of us. However, there hasn't really been a clear explanation discovered yet.
The only post I can think of that looks into possible reasons is Deejayoh's "," which explored the subject but didn't really resolve it.
