Western Washington gets a mention in Calculated Risk

The article is mostly about residential investment in home improvements and the use of MEW to fund improvements. "Pimped-out homes" are described as being located here in Western Washington.

Thanks, Jillayne. I missed that. Not too much of a surprise.

I actually made a little effort to postpone replacing our disgusting, disintegrating carpet with hardwoods. My wife finally balked at waiting any longer, but I was hoping to get more experienced folks at a better price by waiting for the MEW dollars to peeter-out. I may still have gotten more experience, but I doubt they have come down in price yet. I did get a small concession from one bidder, but that was it.
