    She re-fi'd it while it was listed on the market? I thought that was a no-no. Apparently she's running low on cash. Probably already spent that $95K in "equity".

    Odd, she's owned it for 11 years.
  • She probably took out a HELOC so she could have a downpayment for the property she's buying. Not unheard of for "longterm" owners to do that.

    You're right about that - what is unusual is that it happened while the property was on the market. Then again it may indicate she signed on another place and now really needs to dump the old one. Bad planning either way.
  • Or she could have refinanced to consolidate a little remodel, vacation, credit card debt. Maybe didn't get the best loan, spends beyond her means and is now feeling the pinch.

  • Get the Parcel Number off Zillow then go to the King County Records site and look up the docs on file.
