Investors In Place?

Any idea what this means:
Property sold as is subject to tenants rights. Divorce situation - Owner must sell now! Investors, renters already in place.

I assume renters in place means, someone's renting it already. But investors? I guess inspection is out too, or at least repairs made from inspection. Good luck with that in this market. But the price is reasonable for the current market and location.

  • I think you read it right...however, simply reworded it could say.

"Hey investors! Buy our place! There is already a tenant so you don't have to put an ad on CL!"

    1. How much are the renters paying?
    2. If it cashflows, why are they selling it?
    3. How long will the renters be there?
    4. Are the renters respectful of the property and the neighbors?
    5. What jobs do the renters have? Are they in jeopardy of losing them?

I want a house to live in....not to "invest" in.
  • I agree w/ EconE. It seems probable that the comma should have been a colon.

    "Investors: renters already in place."

Perhaps the listing agent should pick up a copy of Eats, Shoots & Leaves.

Nah. I think the place comes with renters who lost their shirt investing in real estate.

Ah, that makes a lot more sense. It's addressing investors. I thought it was listing them with renters.
