Short sales are increasing?

Does anyone have data on "Short Sales" in the Seattle area?

I came across a "short sale" on the eastside (for the first time in the recent past) --- MLS# 27076693. Asking price seems to have been reduced by a whopping $300K in the past month.

  • The foreclosure notice hasn't showed up in public records yet.

The big question is how do you find foreclosures before they are entered into public record. If you can do that you can make a mint.

Back to your question, any house that has a Notice of Trustee Sale posted on it is a great candidate for a short sale. Just contact the owner and make an offer.
  • Reduced 300K  He only paid 900K for it 6 months ago. I wouldn't give him 600K for it.
