Interesting Development - RE Industry Circling The Wagons

The online RE site (name withheld to protect the guilty) I use to do my bubble "research" no longer provides the property address. This was change was done within the last week.

I am guessing the reason is:
1) They want you to contact them so they can start a "relationship" with u
2) They don't want folks Zillowing the property and seeing how much the value has run up since 1997 (last sane year) before they have had a chance to "turn on the charm" (the female agents have big hair, big teeth, drive Mercedes, and wear floppy hats)
3) They don't want bubble bears doing "research" with their data

Expect to see a lot more withholding of info as the RE industry circles the wagons...

As Robert Cote stated tersely on Ben's Blog one time....."soon RE purchases will be made in a mall kiosk"...can you say dinosaur, dodo, and LP?

    Of course they're circling the wagons...let 'em...it won't change the inevitable.

    There are realtors that are honest and show what's out there IMO. Those are the ones that I respect.

    There are actually Realtors that have links to SeattleBubble on their sites. Those are the ones that I respect the most and would wholeheartedly recommend to friends when the shakeout is done.

    On the "circling the wagons" topic, the NWMLS has recently made a change that obfuscates the links to all of the pdfs other than the 'recap' ones, making them inaccessible to non-members. Coincidence?
