    Hello?

    Still here...
  • In addition, you state Hubbert's theory supports your suggestion that peak oil is not real.

Fact: There is a finite supply of extractable oil on this earth and we are probably approaching the mid-point of said extraction.

Your opinion: This will lead to a society in which oil will be so expensive that quality of life in all but urban neighborhoods will decline substantially.

There is a very important difference between the two concepts above. You might want to pause before your next reply and think about this. Sorry, I don't buy your opinion, and this is not the forum to debate this. Let's get this thread back on subject please.

    I see...

Honestly, the only nice place in Seattle is <insert_my_location> and I can't believe anyone else would live anywhere else.

Also, everyone that drives faster than me is an idiot and anyone that drives slower than me is a moron.

Interesting point, but it's skewing my argument . I never wrote that Columbia City is the only nice place to live.

Please address what I actually write.

Where did I write: "I can't believe anyone else would live anywhere else"? I did not write that. You wrote that and then addressed your own statement.

Relax. It was intended as "humor", as was the other post you decided to vomit on with your over zealous approach.

    <assumes fighting stance> I know Kung Fu.

Pugnacious little bugger, isn't (s)he? Makes one wonder if post-purchase dissonance is the cause.

The style of "debate" (if you can call it that) doesn't serve it well. It appears to just get angry and puff out its chest with claims of mathematical prowess. It lacks understanding of the difference between confidence and arrogance. It annoys me.

    Wow.
  • What will be a big deal very soon is the 2009 opening of the LIGHT RAIL PROJECT that will have stations all up and down Martin Luther King Way. You will be able to jump on a train and get into downtown in about 10 minutes. The airport will be accessible in the other direction. No parking costs or hassles whatsoever.

Once the light rail project opens, Columbia City is going to be a whole different place.

Light Rail you say? Like a genuine, Bona fide, Electrified, Six-car Light Rail?!

When you become interested in things that are more culturally hip and diverse, and want to invest in an area that has that ambient historic Seattle flavor, has friendly people, and is up and coming, move to Columbia City.

Do you work for the Columbia City Business Association, if there is such a thing?

What is with the fascination with diversity anyway? Do you think people in China, Japan, and Singapore spend even a second of their time wondering why there are no White people or Black people living there? Last time I checked, they are doing just fine. Only the "englightened" Americans are obsessed with this crap.
