Hi, this is Barney Aldridge from Benchmark Lending. Take out a loan from us and we'll even pay to have your house appraised (using OUR bought and paid for appraiser....who always "hits the mark"). Oh yea, and we're "nice people too"..... Puke!…

Ok, where is the camera? This is a joke....right? You want to buy in the 3rd inning of a housing crash and then sell in the 8th inning? Knock yourself out!

Interesting diatribe from Housingpanic.... "Americans have $6.8 trillion deposited in institutions. $4.2 trillion is FDIC insured And the FDIC only has $52 billion tucked away to back the entire system. One more time, the FDIC only has 1% put …

"Once you get a large and/or sharp TV and sound system, the movie experience can actually be BETTER at home." What? You don't like $6 popcorn, $4 drinks, crying babies, people talking loudly on cell phones, and seats that smell funny and have cra…

I went to Zilllow to get data to analyze this place but since the historical Zillow data was apparently based on incorrect information, I could not use it. However, the house next door can be used to guesstimate this one. According to Zillow in 1998…

Well said Sniglet....agree completely.

The "Zestimate" is lagging from 3 to 6 months so in a down cycle the "Zestimate" is most likely too high.

3255 165th Ave Bellevue, WA 98008....... Based on a 1998 price of 300K and "normal" 4% appreciation per year to 2008 the house value is about 450K. Even assuming 5%/year which is pretty liberal, the house would still only top out at about 488K…

Luckily, Mr. Yun and the NAR have absolutely no conflict of interest in ALWAYS saying it is a great time to buy.

I personally know of one person who quit her job in retail (clerk) to start a mortgage company. She did quite well and in 2006 bought a 500K home in Newcastle (no money down adjustable). Just heard that her company is kaput! And if she goes ba…

Any straight up comparison with San Diego is ALWAYS gonna make Seattle look good until SD hits bottom and starts going back up (if that ever happens). Seattle is about 17 months behind San Diego. Seattle is just now nosing over and pointing down....…

Yes, wait.....prices, labor, and materials will be MUCH cheaper in a year to two. In the meantime buy one of those "home builder" software packages and get all your plans solidified. Then hire an architect to review your plans, make mods that involv…

Pure lies... But, but, but.....I saw it on TV!!!! Unbelievable the deceit just to con someone into paying you a comission so you can keep paying on that Beamer..... There is no shame...nor accountability.

Washington's green will turn to orange during the "fall". I just love the seasons.....

Looking at bubblicious appreciation rates (Zillow) in that neighborhood I have determined that the neighborhood in question is about 40% overvalued. Hence, the MOST that house is actually worth based on a more normal appreciation of 4% per year, is …

"Ardell's right. We are far from the bottom." As a character witness for RCC, I can say with all sincerity that RCC predicted MANY times we are not at the bottom. I don't even know who Ardell is.....and I read these boards daily. Just trying t…

In a year or so those who bought at these "fire sale" prices will realize that they STILL caught a falling knife.

I gave up long ago trying to figure out the "logic" behind stock trends. Bad is good and good is bad seems to work the best.....

Did some checking on Zillow. Similar Redmond condos went for about 195K in 1998. Using an annual "realistic" appreciation rate of 4% per year the condo would be worth about 285K today. I would make my initial bid at 250K and negotiate up from there.…

1) 787 delayed 2) Lost Tanker contract 3) Lost BAMS contract Isn't there ANY good news somewhere?

The most galling thing is that Helicopter Ben cut interest rates knowing full well it would weaken the dollar. Why? To save his "big bank" buddies. Aren't these the same bums who always crow about "free trade and "free markets" and "let the market h…

Good riddance....Starbucks is the poster child for the "la di da" culture in America. Soon to follow Sharper Image into the history books. Next up...the "can of soup" culture.

"i hate to say it but this is probably good news. i think we'll see the trough in home valuations in Seattle this summer." Well I'll up the ante.....I hate to say it...but the earth is flat. I can understand why you hated to say what you did. …

Larry K Kragun 1) Irrelevant 2) Poster boy for the soon to be extinct "used house dealer" industry 3) Fits the stereotype of the "RE Professional" to a T 4) Needs to work on his "shtick" as his humor does not come across very well I actuall…

"The MSM seems to have started a scaremongering approach to the credit pop." Gee, isn't that a "conspiracy"? Where is FreedomLover when you need him/her/it?

"When do we get to see a similar situation in Seattle?" We are in 2nd inning. They are in 4th inning. Timing is everything. 8)

They dug their own grave. Too bad for the many who are gonna feel the fallout from the actions of the few. Common theme these days.
