According to April data, Seattle-area home prices were:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Up<\/strong> 1.4% April to May<br \/>\n<strong>Up<\/strong> 7.4% YOY.<br \/>\n<em>Down<\/em> 6.1% from the July 2007 peak<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Last year at this time prices rose 1.4% month-over-month and year-over-year prices were up 9.3%.<\/p>\n<p>The Seattle area&#8217;s month-over-month home price changes shrank slightly from April to May, but the year-over-year change held steady.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a <a href=\"http:\/\/public.tableausoftware.com\/\" title=\"Tableau Software\">Tableau Public<\/a> interactive graph of the year-over-year change for all twenty Case-Shiller-tracked cities. This chart takes the twelve cities whose peak index was greater than 175, and tracks how far they have fallen so far from their peak.
