Let’s have a look at the latest data from the Case-Shiller Home Price Index<\/a>. According to April data, Seattle-area home prices were:<\/p>\n

Up<\/strong> 1.1% May to June
\nUp<\/strong> 7.4% YOY.
\nDown<\/em> 5.1% from the July 2007 peak<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Last year at this time prices rose 1.1% month-over-month and year-over-year prices were up 8.6%.<\/p>\n

The Seattle area’s month-over-month home price changes shrank slightly from May to June, but the year-over-year change held steady at pretty much exactly where it’s been since March.<\/p>\n
