Remember, Case-Shiller&#8217;s &#8220;Seattle&#8221; data is based on single-family home repeat sales in King, Pierce, and Snohomish counties.<\/p>\n<p>Note that the tiers are determined by sale volume. In other words, 1\/3 of all sales fall into each tier. For more details on the tier methodologies, hit <a href=\"http:\/\/us.spindices.com\/documents\/methodologies\/methodology-sp-cs-home-price-indices.pdf\" title=\"S&#038;P\/Case-Shiller Home Price Indices: Index Methodology\">the full methodology pdf<\/a>. Prices in all three tiers are still double-digits above last year&#8217;s levels.
