I just realized that today is Seattle Bubble&#8217;s <em>eighth<\/em> anniversary.  <a href=\"http:\/\/seattlebubble.com\/blog\/2005\/08\/08\/welcome-to-seattle-bubble\/\" title=\"Welcome to Seattle Bubble\">I launched this site on August 8th, 2005<\/a> with a simple goal:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8230;to post news stories and generate discussion about the real estate\/housing bubble and specifically how it affects the Seattle area.<br \/>\n&#8230;<br \/>\nTo be honest, the main reason I\u2019m starting this blog is to collect information for my own interest, and I just figured that if I\u2019m this interested in the subject, maybe some other people in the area are too. I hope you find this to be a useful resource.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Eight years and one massive national housing bust later, here we still are.<\/p>\n<p>Here are a few stats from our first eight years:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2,913 posts (not counting open threads)<\/li>\n<li>145,515\tcomments<\/li>\n<li>5.3 million visits<\/li>\n<li>12.5 million pageviews<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I guess it was a subject that other people were interested in after all.  Hopefully a few people have gotten some value out of this site.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s to many more great years to come.
