The purpose of the posts will be to list common real estate myths and briefly debunk them one by one.  Many common myths have had entire posts dedicated to them here in the past, which will of course also be linked to.  Following are some examples of the kinds of things I&#8217;ll be including on these lists.<\/p>\n<p>The first list is &#8220;Seattle Housing Market Myths,&#8221; which will contain items such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Home prices in Seattle are supported by:\n<ul>\n<li>Job growth<\/li>\n<li>Population growth<\/li>\n<li>Puget Sound&#8217;s unique desirability<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Prices here did not go up as fast as other places, so therefore they won&#8217;t fall.<\/li>\n<li>Prices can simply level off for a few years while &#8220;the fundamentals&#8221; catch back up.<\/li>\n<li>etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The second list is &#8220;General Home Buying Myths.&#8221;  Here&#8217;s a sample of what I&#8217;ve got so far for that one:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you don&#8217;t buy now, you&#8217;ll be <a href=\"http:\/\/pricedoutforever.com\/\" title=\"Priced Out Forever\">priced out forever<\/a>!<\/li>\n<li>Renting is &#8220;throwing away&#8221; your money.  It&#8217;s always (financially) better to buy, regardless of the circumstances.<\/li>\n<li>Buying a home is a great way to &#8220;build wealth.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I have additional items for each list, but I&#8217;m sure there are plenty of myths I&#8217;m forgetting.  What myths would you include on such a list?
