98055=renton, near 405/167.
the wife and i looked at many houses in this area and into the renton highlands in late 2006 and early 2007. put in an offer on a MANUFACTURED home (a nice one) on a 1/3 acre lot at $136/SF and were outbid.
3 bedroom ramblers with 1 bath were going for $250 (yucky no updating) -$290/SF (nicely remodled).
4 bedroom 2 bath boxy 2 stories were going for over $200/SF.
We just looked at houses last night. All near the 98055 area.
4 bed 3 bath basement rambler 3150 sf for $110/sf nice bones needs updating.
4 bed 3 bath basement rambler 3500 sf for $112/sf. updated 0.62 acre lot
4 bed 3 bath basement rambler 3900 sf for $96/sf. updated/pool
5 bed 3 bath basement rambler 2500 sf for $138/sf. updated
We never saw anything in this area last year for less than $200/sf, and we looked at ALOT of houses.
These prices seem great, but we are really worried there is worse to come in the future. How much less than $100/SF can we expect?
We even saw 2 year old homes at $138/sf.
Any thoughts on what next spring will look like will be apprecited.
