Overheard a couple guys complaining about how the MSM does nothing but cover "doom and gloom" - obviously they missed the love fest from last week - but it got me thinking, where would you go if you mainly wanted good news?

I'd say, the smaller the paper the better. If you have a local paper that just covers whether or not Hometown High School beat Rivaltown High School, you'll at least get some lite (and maybe even happy) news.
The other thing to do is focus on 'happy' sub-categories of news. Science is neither happy nor sad, but at least it's forward thinking (not caught up in the now).

The puff pieces make me vomit. Guess I like doom and gloom.
