Isn't that just the irony of the entire GW/alternative energy/ethanol debates? We are literally on the doorstep of a complete paradigm shift and somehow the corporations seem to keep distracting us from real progress. Of course, one of the reasons is that battery technologies have been essential. Fortunately, batteries are making some major technological breakthroughs now, and if it keeps up the world will literally be transformed.
