Not cool
Hey all you guys who read other RE blogs written by agents and comment there, and particularly those who dampen their bright and cheerful outlooks, you should chill out a bit. Look how angry you made my friend

now I understand why
At least the originating posts are interesting there.
And he has the delusion he's funny.
Who in their right mind would want him as their agent after seeing that?
Read your blog. Love the Mid-Century Modern of the week. I need to find one of those places closer in to Seattle!
Thank you folks for all the data and the charts and all the timely posts. And yes keep up the good work. The fun has only begun
Glad you like the mid-century stuff Deejayoh. I'm behind on updates, I'm off to Japan in the morning, but I'll get some new ones out there when I get back. There are some great ones in the area, though as I wrote in my original post on the style, most of what we see in the Seattle area is a little different than what they have in areas like California. More use of wood, and fewer flat roofs, for obvious reasons (flat roofs + rain = water where water shouldn't be).
Ira sent me an interesting one from Seattle a week or so again in email, you might like it. Here's the URL:

It's STI already but it's a neat house, reasonably priced (well, reasonable by my standards as a RE agent).
The way I usually find them is to do a search by year built and then sort for the word "modern". I pick up a lot of good ones that way, another way is just to happen across them in my MLS travels.
Even if I loathed my potential customers like he apparently does, I would certainly not broadcast it like that!
He and Mack have done a great job of galvanizing the (unfair... I admit) negative stereotypes I have always held toward this industry. Thank goodness for their posts. I can certainly steer clear of them, as well as advise my peers to do the same.
I wouldn't also be sure that he has safely made his million - one constant from reading reports from across the country is that RE agents aren't hypocrites - they seem to generally be heavily leveraged into "investment" real estate, so they get to deal with that along with the falloff in business. Who knows the extent to which this applies to posters on the PI RE blog...
Reason #999,995 that I won't be using an agent for my next transaction.
What incredible arrogance, bad grammar, and general dipshittery.
The feeling of impending irrelevance is palpable with these people.
1) Irrelevant
2) Poster boy for the soon to be extinct "used house dealer" industry
3) Fits the stereotype of the "RE Professional" to a T
4) Needs to work on his "shtick" as his humor does not come across very well
I actually feel sorry for the guy. He has yet to grasp that he is a relic.
