Personally, I think they'd be absolutely stupid to strike right now, but hey, they're all wealthy with all those homes they've purchased over the past few years.

Would you buy a used townhouse from this man?

Would you fly in an airplane built by this man?

Someone please show him a Detroit area newspaper so he knows what will happen once he repeats the behavior of the UAW.

Michigan has degenerated to the point that they no longer have movable type. The history of the people and their traditions are passed from generation to generation orally. Elders regale the little ones of a magical time when giant iron machines used to be constructed by the village craftsmen. A time when the population was so large that a family owned only one house instead a main house and all of the neighboring foreclosures. Yes it was a glorious age. They'd gladly give up all of their houses if they could have but one of those fantastical people moving contraptions again. But, alas, not even the selling price of a half dozen homes could pay for one.

Why? Now is the exact right time to strike. Unless the brass at Boeing decides they don't really need so many machinists after all. I think we've covered this before on the topic of how many jobs the 787 will really create in King County.

This is just posturing. A formality, really.
