I'm sure many of you have seen those new TV ads for Time-to-Buy.com, with local celebrity gardener Cisco as one of the barkers--telling folks it is time to get off the fence and BUY! Is this another symptom of desperation?

    I would agree that the smell of desperation is in the air.

    When I got my newspaper this morning there was a 3" by 5" sticky attached to the front. The sticky was white with a red border and it had a printed message which said (duplicated as best as I can) :

    HEY SCARED-Y-CAT
    ----Real Estate----
    Afraid of Missing This Buyer's Market?
    Afraid of Rising Interest Rates?
    You Should Be!
    ----Real Estate----
    Investors are bailing on U.S. Treasuries.
    That means higher interest rates to you.
    It's just a matter of time!
    ----Real Estate----
    Chasing a Few $K in Price Breaks?
    Loosing (sic) $KKK in Interest Rates!
    ----YES! DUMB----

    Still throwing away RENT while your friends
    brag about the great deal they got?
    DON'T MISS OUT. Call us NOW!
