Best Deals right now

edited September 2008 in Seattle Real Estate
Hey Guys,

I'm in the market for my buying my first house. I work in downtown Seattle and love the condos in the surrounding area, but it is out of my price range. I was thinking of North Seattle Green Lake area. Know of any good deals for first time buyers?

Thanks!

Wait for better deals, young grasshopper.
  • I agree with uber. Wait! Most sellers are still living in 2005. Give them about 6 more months before they'll come to reality.
  • Rent now buy later. Unless of course you don't mind the possibility of taking catastrophic losses in the event the whole housing market really goes down the toilet. The market isn't going to turn around anytime soon and when it does prices will not be appreciating very quickly. You will have plenty of time then to decide to buy and you will also have a lot more choices. Save now for a bigger down payment and let the market run its course.
  • i've been watching 98122 (which is my area code that i'm renting in) and don't see anything approaching reality sinking in yet.
