THE NEXT BUBBLE?

edited May 2007 in Housing Bubble
Everyone please read the article: Why bubbles are great for the economy. I think it has some rational reasons, or at least has some interesting points. So what asset class do you think will be the next bubble?

Stocks (Large Cap Growth) - One of my preditions
Commodities
Commercial Real Estate
Bonds (boring)
Currency (FOREX)
Collectibles (coins, stamps, artwork, beanie babies) - the coin market is just starting to heat up! - my dad knows a lot about this market.

It would be interesting to see where everyone sees the next "BIG ONE". Let us know where you cash rich investors are stashing your money...afterall your renting and already have your money invested, so techincially this would drive up demand for your asset class!

  • The next bubble?

Copper coated lead and related paraphenalia.
  • Glass for making meth pipes.
  • My serious answer is PRECIOUS METALS. I can see how that will get wildly bid-up, even if you factor in dollar debasement.

It will be a strange day when you can go to the Volvo dealer and trade a half-dozen Canadian Maples for a new S60.

Don't believe me? Right now, you can trade 80 shares of an online search engine for that S60. What intrinsic value do those 80 shares have? It earns (in a bubbly market for advertising real estate and mortgages) less than a checking account, and 1/3 of a money market. It pays no dividend.
