Funny article. You should have quoted Rob Roy though, or photoshopped riot walls into downtown Seattle. Interestingly enough, Detroit just took their walls down a few years ago. They really add spice to the cityscape!

Also, "an historic" is something snooty British TV commentators say to sound smart. It's incorrect even if people use it commonly, and should be reserved for when you're fake-quoting snooty British people.

  • Yeah, well the whole "paper" is meant to be a parody/satire of newspapers in general, which do tend to be somewhat "snooty." So I think it's justified. :)

Two of my daughters live in a condo downtown. I called them a few weeks ago and asked them to spend tonight at my house in the burbs. I think the risk of something really bad happening where they live is remote compared to a lot of other places and cities, but it is easy to just spend the night out here.

'Course, after reading this, I may have to change my position. It may just be a fizzle after all: http://hillbuzz.wordpress.com/2008/11/0 ... -promised/

That was a fun "Onionesque" article. Looking forward to more! I need to peruse the site...

I like this magazine! And it's local!
  • Rob, Naked Loon is Tim's Seattle oriented parody site. So all the articles should be Onion-esque.
