"For five figures in Los Angeles, the offerings are pretty humble. Pretty typical is a one-bedroom, one-bathroom house on East 98th Street in South Los Angeles, near the intersection of the Harbor Freeway and Century Boulevard. Its listing calls the 738-square-foot house "great for a growing family." The seller wants $85,000 for the house, which sold in 2006 for . . . $365,000."

2000 - POS in Da Hood
2006 - A cute home and great investment with lots of upside "in the bag"
2008 - POS in Da Hood

  • I made the move from seattle to la...if you're young, single, and home ownership isn't a priority for you then I highly recommend it

can't beat 75 degree weather in january =)
  • Meh, no thanks. I don't want 75 in February any more than 25 in August. I rather enjoy the climate here, including the winters. And LA has so much more not to like. :P
  • The main problem for me about living in LA would not be the weather. It would be the fact that it's LA.
  • Come on guys, somebody has to live in LA. Might as well be you.
