We can't beat the democrats so we'll just shoot em and teach your kids how to!

    Honestly, I don't see what the big deal is. It's fun to shoot guns and there's adult supervision. So what's the problem? This is the only setting for most people to ever shoot a machine gun (and I can guarantee you that that's more fun than it sounds). I'd rather have my kid learn in a safe way about guns than just mindlessly blaze away at video games.

    The picture of a 5 year old holding an M-16 just hits the wrong spot. Supervised or not, that isn't sending the right message to anyone, especially the kids. These people are using the VT shooting as ammunition to what? Train there kids to be even better when they can't handle college?

    I suppose that's the message a democrat hack would take away from this, yes. Out here in the real world, there is nothing inherently wrong with it. I can almost guarantee you that the kids who attend this thing will be much much less likely to do anything bad with guns than the average kid.

    Yeah it's almost as wrong as teaching anything but abstinence-only sex education in our schools.

    I think our 2nd amendment right is really more of a responsibility. The right to bear arms is a safety valve against governmental abuse. Citizens should be allowed to and know how to use weapons that are comparable to the weapons used by our government. Having a day where people are trained to use machine guns is so patriotic that I want to burst.

    I've argued before that if the national guard can have tanks, I don't see why I can't park one in the backyard.

    I'm not, however, sure what this has got to do with the housing bubble. Is a machine gun bubble next? Are we in an ammo bubble, or is the war really crimping supply that much?

    1. This is the Everything Else forum.
    2. Ammo prices have gone way up.
    3. I think the war has seriously reduced the supply of some ammo.
