Relists
Relists bother me. I think buyers should know a house's true number of days on market and when a house gets relisted, that stat gets distorted.
So if you come across a relist and have the time, post it to this thread. Maybe someone looking to buy that house will come across this information and appreciate it.
Generally you can querry the address in Google and then used cached pages to find the older listing. Once you have the MLS you can querry on "MLS Seattle <MLS Number>" and sometimes get better results.
Realtors must hate Google's cache.

I am fortunately someone with a pretty good memory, and can piece together how long it's been. But yes, it's a deceptive practice. Another one I've seen is reducing the price of a listing by $50 or $100. The nominal reduction doesn't hurt the seller, but allows the listing to pop up as
PRICE REDUCED! and someone who doesn't know will think, 'wow, I'm getting a deal here'
In a down market NWMLS had better clean up its act before a class action lawsuit does it for them
Originally listed at 638K back in the middle of July as 3060 sq ft. I guess they decide that listing a musty basement as legit sq footage was turning people off. cache
I actually really like the house and location, but it would take a ton of work/money to get into shape. If they knocked another 100K off I'd consider it.
