Looking at Ubersalad's post history, he's apparently just another bull that uses insults instead of reason. I wouldn't put any more stock in what he thinks than Meshugy.

I read in earlier post that some folks think this data is 'dirty'. In my experience, anecdotal metrics like this provide a real-time glimpse into the current state of mind of the average seller (FSBO, agent or developer).
I often search CL with the words foreclosure/forclosure, must sell, granite, stunning, etc. It's a good way to discover trends.
I am waiting for the day (if it hasn't already happened) that someone starts scraping CL categories and tabulating them. Car sales, RE sales and rentals all provide an instant 'EKG' of a region's relative economic activity.
