Proverbs 1:25-27

edited October 2007 in Seattle Real Estate
Since you ignored all my advice and would not accept my rebuke, I in turn will laugh at your disaster; I will mock when calamity overtakes you - when calamity overtakes you like a storm, when disaster sweeps over you like a whirlwind, when distress and trouble overwhelm you.
They say that guy was pretty wise...

  • I like it.

But it's easy to take individual verses out of context. In this verse, Solomon was actually talking about people ignoring his stock market advice, not his real estate advice. Completely different context, and therefore cannot be applied.
  • Obviously (I hope) I'm going for humor here, in case anyone isn't clear. While I greatly respect the scripture as a whole, I still enjoy taking verses out of context for humorous effect, as demonstrated in this piece which I helped pen during my internment at Seattle Pacific U.
