where is everyone going?

edited December 2007 in Housing Bubble
So, if the mid-west is a basket case, with people fleeing the region, and people are likewise running from New England, Arizona, Nevada, California and Florida (which we also hear about in the news these days, what with the collapse of the housing bubbles) where are they all going? The Pacific Northwest? Georgia and the Carolinas?

We hear about all these people fleeing the various regions of the country, but just where are they going? I have seen numerous articles from all around the country talking about dropping school enrolments, and populations, as people flee regions with declining housing prices.

Where are all these people going? Is Mexico seeing an influx of illegal American immigrants?

  • snig, it's a panic. The people are leaving and coming in a round-robin fashion. Flee Florida for Phoenix then on to LA in time for a panicked retreat to Boston. Eventually, the masses will notice that Florida condos are selling for nickels on the dollar...and the herd will move back to Florida.

It's really just the typical cycle of life, as sung by Elton John.

I'm not sure if that in fact will not come about....

Thank you explorer. We all need a little more Chris Farley in our lives I think.
