  • I think it works well if you're a strong saver and diligent about not spending more than you make. In fact, I'm going to try it too. For most people though, I don't think it's a good idea.

  • I know that if you qualify for a VA loan you can get a home loan for zero down with no PMI. I haven't heard of any other zero down loan programs ever since they tightened up lending after the last housing crash.
