Bellingham

So, I am fed up with this city and its ridiculous traffic, and home prices. Besides, I want to go back to being a real Chemical Engineer.

My wife and I are thinking about moving up to Bellingham. Does anyone know where I can get some current and historical real estate data for Bellingham and the Whatcom County area?

I don't plan on buying for a couple of years. If I move, I would want to rent for a while to get a feel for where I would actually want to live and I need to finish saving up a good downpayment.

Any help is appreciated!

EDIT: It looks like The Tim has a bunch of data going back to 2005 in his spreadsheet. Any idea where to get data older than 2005?

    Unfortunately, up until August 2005, the NWMLS did not provide data for Whatcom county separately, but lumped it into a category of "others," which included Okanogan County and presumably portions of other counties not otherwise listed separately. The data in the "Around the Sound" spreadsheet is all there is out there, unless you know somebody with NWMLS database access and they can run stats from further back (I don't know if that's possible or not).
