In the meantime, a dedicated federal government sponsered pink pony breeding program might help.
I heard Obama's latest proposal is to dedicate $50 B to preparing a massive ranch in Kentucky where pink ponies will be raised. It sounds like a lot of money until you realize that if the pink ponies can prevent even an extra 1% decline in housing prices that they'll have paid for themselves.
It's unclear whether these will be free-range ponies, learning their bubble puffing ways by nature or whether the administration will bring in animal trainers from Hollywood, Seaworld, and Police Dog Academies to train them. One thing's for sure, by 2011 you won't be able to walk from your car to your front door without seeing a pink pony guarding your home (if you own a home - dirty renters to be excluded from pony guardian service).
