Two West Coast Bubble Blogs Shut Down

edited February 2007 in Housing Bubble
In a strange coincidence, the proprietors of two other bubble blogs decided to "shut their doors" this weekend:

Vancouver Housing Market and Marin Real Estate Bubble

VHB decided to stop blogging for undisclosed "personal reasons," while Marinite was scared out of business by an anonymous death threat.

As I said, it would appear that the proximity of their shutdowns is merely coincidence, but it's certainly a bit strange, don't you think?

  • That's really sad that someone creating a housing market blog would get death threats. You ever get anything like that, Tim?
  • Thankfully no. I haven't even been the lucky recipient of anything I'd call "hate mail" either. Maybe blogging anonymously acts as more of a magnet to that sort of thing. Who knows.
  • That's too bad, as Marinite was one of the better bloggers out there.

Marin POS is just too good of a site. Once things get rocking and rolling here in the PNW, I would like to do that with Bainbridge and the rest of Kitsap.

Today I posted CRASH-CON 3 on the Clearcut Bainbridge site. While it was just an irreverant tongue-in-cheek look at the various stages of REIC dimentia, I did list as a condition of CRASH-CON 2 the phenomena of the REIC getting violent.

Perhaps Marin is at CRASH-CON 2.
