There is no reason to fret about the demise of mortage lenders, and the asset backed securities markets. Real estate is all local, didn't you know? The Seattle area will do just fine, thank you very much, even as real-estate in the rest of the country falls off the face of the earth.
Moreover, Seattle area employers will do just swell, hiring even more people, as the rest of the world goes into a deep recession. Bankrupt companies and unemployed construction workers need all the software and aircraft they can lay their hands on, demand will be way up!
