Welcome to the new & improved forums!

That's right, we've relaunched the forums!

Everything from the old forums has been imported over to the new forums, including all user accounts that had at least one post. If you had an account on the old forums you should be able to access it in the new forums.

If you want to participate in the forum, you need to create an account, which is easy and free. Just click the "Register" button on the right. Note that you will need to supply a valid email address, since email verification is a requirement to participate. Other users will not be able to see your email address.

For access to the Members-Only forums, you will need to become a paying member of Seattle Bubble. More details about this program are coming soon.

If you have any questions about the new forums, post them here. If you're having trouble registering, contact me here.

  • Interesting to see the forums back up again. Looking at the old threads really brings back memories. Meshugy, synthetik, JD@Preview, Lake Hills Renter. Whatever happened to those guys. :p
  • Maybe you could do a forum post on the forum software you chose and why. Thanks!

Welcome back! I was wondering how many of the old regulars were still around. I take it since you're posting the process for accessing your old account was relatively easy?

That would be a good idea. Short version: I went with Vanilla mostly because it was easy to integrate nicely with WordPress and it cleanly imported all the content from the old platform (phpBB).

I still lurk now and then, but I quit following the housing market when I bought a house back in 2011. Now I need home ownership advice more than housing market advice. =P

Accessing my old account was easy since I remembered the password. All my old posts are still there too. Quite the trip down memory lane.

Nice. I'm glad it worked pretty seamlessly.
