Real Actual Listing Photos: Interesting “Features” Edition

It’s time for another installment of Real Actual Listing Photos. Once a month (or so) I round up some of the most bizarre listing photos from around the Seattle area and post them here, with brief excerpts from the real actual listing description, and probably a bit of snarky commentary.

As usual, you should check out Looney Listing for similar content throughout the month from across the USA.

The idea for this series stems from the ongoing forum thread Detrimental Listing Photos. If you’ve got a nomination for a listing photo that should appear here, drop me a line.

No particular theme this month. Just enjoy a collection of odd listing photos submitted by readers and found by yours truly.

Enough explanation. Let’s get to the photos! Click the photo to view the Real Actual Listing.

5730 S Bangor St., Seattle, WA 98178“Nice Home in a great location & neighborhood”

Not that we’re going to show you any of that. All you get to see is this one blurry photo.

6352 41st Ave SW, Seattle, WA 98136“Views of Mountain and Puget Sound possible if a second floor was added.”

I can’t believe they didn’t mention this awesome basement “bedroom” in the description.

4454 S Brandon St., Seattle, WA 98118“Enjoy sunny summer days on the deck.”

Enjoy dark winter days on the toilet.

6535 Delridge Wy SW, Seattle, WA 98106“This would make a large owner occupant home with a business or a great investment.”

His and hers toilets? That’s an… interesting “feature.”

2029 Field Ave NE, Renton, WA 98059“Expansive and bright home”

Bonus “feature”: Kitchen doubles as the laundry room, apparently! Found by Peter.

2122 S Brandon St., Seattle, WA 98108“Great home for a first time home buyer or investment property. .!”

I just love it when the sellers can’t even be bothered to undertake the bare minimum amount of cleaning. Really? You couldn’t even clear the dining table?

Let me know if you have an idea for a future “Real Actual Listing Photos” theme, and be sure to check out Looney Listing for listing photo amusement throughout the month.

I have a friend who is a firefighter. He tells me that one of his most common calls is to extract obese people from between the toilet and the wall or the toilet and the bathtub. How they fall off, he does not know.

These pictures would not make him happy, given the low clearances at play, although with the drag-race toilets, if the person fell inboard, they would be in good shape.

Cue Ray with obligatory lower GI stories…..

The Kitchen One Got Me the Most

LOL….where’s the dish washer?….maybe ya just throw the dishes in the washing machine?

The first one funny – not sure I know of very many people who would consider Skyway to be a “great location & neighborhood”. In fact, it could be one of the worst in Seattle.

Looks like the twin toilets are in an ex-daycare establishment, so set up for multiple little kids. There were no doors on the toilet stalls of my elementary school, and I still think of that in some degree of horror this many decades later.

Those his and hers toilets are one of the worst things I’ve ever seen in a house (69 ass wiping?)

Note to seller: Both toilet paper holders are out of paper. But I’m guessing you never use any.

Note to listing agent: His and hers toilets are not a strong selling feature. You should be trying to downplay this to potential buyers as opposed to featuring it as bonus.

What, how DID YOU train your little one to use the toilet ? Never underestimate the value of live demonstrations. :-P
